Auto pricing
Fares, commissions and fees are all automatically calculated based on the search criteria and any shopping or pricing qualifiers included in the request.
Brand based pricing
The ability for you to view the shopping results with the lowest price in each fare family for each cabin per flight
Itinerary based pricing
The ability for you to view the shopping results with the lowest price per flight (Note: available only for return and multi-city searches)
Lower pricing
Lower pricing is available when accessing Qantas NDC content through your Technology Partner, offering lower trans-Tasman and Australian domestic fares and some selected markets.
Mini fare rules
The ability for you to view a summarised version of the full fare rules filed per fare.
Multi-city
Multi-sector shopping requests should be used when a specific routing is required—e.g. ADL to SYD via MEL—which needs to be searched as separate sectors in NDC.
One-way and return
The ability to book a one-way/return itinerary between an origin and destination.
Price Guarantee Ticketing Time Limit (PGTTL)
The fare, taxes and surcharges in a Qantas NDC Order are guaranteed up to the Price Guarantee Ticketing Time limit. This is always earlier or equal to the ticketing time limit of the Order.
Pricing
When a flight request is sent to Qantas NDC via an approved Technology Partner, travel agents see a retail-style display of fares, taxes, fees, surcharges, commission and loyalty points earned, and fare family details.
Qualifiers
- When requesting a flight via Qantas NDC during Shopping or Reshopping, agents can refine searches using various qualifiers like:
- Frequent Flyer Number (FFN)
- ABN/QBR or corporate account codes
- Preferred arrival/departure time
- Cabin and service class
- Direct or non-stop flight preference
- Maximum connections
- Specific transfer points
- BestPrice filter
- Calendar-based offers
Ticketing time limit (TTL)
Ticketing time limit is a period by when an Order will be held before it needs to be ticketed otherwise the Order will be cancelled by the airline.

Carbon Credits
Contribution of carbon credits support carbon projects in Australia and all around the world that meet our internal requirements for integrity and quality. Qantas NDC includes the option to purchase Carbon Credits within the booking flow. Please note Carbon Credit is a non-refundable product.
Credit Card fees
Credit Card fees are calculated as a percentage of the all-inclusive fare and fees when using a credit card as payment. You can view the range of credit card fees shown as OB fees when pricing an Order for point-of-sale Australia and New Zealand.
NDC Surcharge
NDC surcharge is a Qantas Distribution surcharge fee which is applicable to QF-marketed itineraries that are booked and/or ticketed by an agent that is ticketing via EDIFACT GDS or via Standard NDC through a GDS Technology Partner.
UMNR Supervision Fee
Unaccompanied minors (UMNR) can be booked via Qantas NDC by selecting UNN as the passenger type code during the shopping process. The UMNR supervision fee is required to be collected as per Qantas policy.

Interline flights in NDC
The ability to book a flight marketed by another carrier (airline code) within a Qantas itinerary.
Qantas Frequent Flyer in NDC
Qantas Frequent Flyer is the loyalty program of Qantas Airways, designed to reward customers for flying and spending with Qantas and its partners. Always include your customer's QFF number during shopping to ensure eligible offers are correctly displayed.

Extra Baggage before and after ticketing in NDC
The ability to view, select and pay for additional baggage for the selected flight. Only one additional bag can be pre-purchased through your Technology Partner. Any extra baggage can be pre-purchased via Manage Booking.

(FOC EMD-A) for PNDC
(FOC EMD-A) for PNDC
Premium NDC Agents have the ability to select a standard seat free of charge for Bronze Frequent Flyers. An EMD-A at zero value is still required for these seats to be confirmed.
Seat Selection in NDC
Qantas NDC offers chargeable seats and free seats options depending on the market, booked fare conditions and the level of the Qantas Frequent Flyer of the customer. Please refer to the Select a Seat policy.
Special Service Requests in NDC
A special service request (SSRs) is used to request a specific service for the passenger. Please refer to the Specific Needs or Dietary Required Meals policies for more information.

Automated EMD Refunds
For Qantas NDC EMDs which are refundable, the applicable amount will be automatically calculated by Qantas and is processed back to the original form of payment.
Automated Ticket Refunds
For Qantas NDC tickets, the applicable amount will be automatically calculated by Qantas based on fare rules, and any applicable cancellation and other fees.
Credit on Hold
Holding the value of a previously issued ticket as credit to be used at a later date.
Combined voids
Tickets and EMDs will be voided together if both were issued on the same calendar day as the void request.
Delayed ticketing
The ability to book and pay later, and within the ticketing time limit.
Instant ticketing
The ability for you to pay and ticket at the time of booking creation.
Manual EMD Refunds
In cases where an automated refund is unable to be processed, a manual request for a refund of an EMD can be requested through BSPlink or ARC.
Manual Ticket Refunds
In cases where automation is not available, a manual refund request via BSPLink or ARC is required. All refunds will be returned to the original form of payment used at the time of ticket issuance. With split payments, the applicable amounts will be returned to each form of payment utilised.
Voiding Exchange Tickets
Same calendar day voiding of exchange tickets is supported in NDC. Once the exchange ticket is voided it will change the coupon status of the original ticket back to open.

Commercial Policy waivers
Commercial Policy provides a waiver to rebook, refund or retain the itinerary as credit subject to the Commercial Policy conditions. The Commercial Policy voluntary workflow in NDC allows you to enter the authority number at time of Reshop.
Flight specific Reshop
Reshop using the specific flight/s that your customer requires. When Flight Specific Reshop is initiated, it returns the full list of flights available for the chosen itinerary as well as the booking classes.
Involuntary changes
The ability to make a change to an existing itinerary when there has been a schedule change.
Order
An Order consists of a customers' details, flight details and ancillary services. Also known as a booking or PNR in EDIFACT.
Order Reshop
OrderReshop is the process of re-pricing or re-shopping an existing flight Order, when a customer wants to change their itinerary, whether voluntarily or involuntarily. Also known as rebooking and reassessing the fare in EDIFACT.
Reshop
Reshop is the process of searching for new flight options and repricing the Order. Also known as rebooking and repricing in EDIFACT.
Shop
Shop refers to the process of searching for travel offers, like flights, fares and ancillaries based on a customers' preference. Also known in EDIFACT as availability.
True Order Reshop
True Order Reshop is searching for the origin and destination of a previously booked Order, calculating the fare, tax and change fee difference between the original and the new Order. Also known as rebooking and reassessing the fare in EDIFACT.
Voluntary changes
When a customer wishes to modify their travel dates, destinations, or cabin class of an existing booking.

Frequent Flyer Bonus Points / Status Credit Offers
For a limited time, Qantas may offer bonus Frequent Flyer points or Status Credits on eligible flights. These offers will be automatically applied to all applicable flights when searching and quoting the correct fare types that are part of the promotion. Terms and conditions will apply.
Marketing descriptions
Is to identify and display the feature text with current Qantas NDC offers available in market. This is returned throughout the booking workflow.
