Baggage Allowance and Power Bank Guidelines

Customers booked with Qantas receive both checked and carry on baggage included as part of their ticket. It’s also important to be aware of key safety requirements when travelling with batteries and battery powered devices.

Checked baggage

Checked baggage allowance is dependent on the route, travel class and Frequent Flyer status. Refer to checked baggage allowance for information on your customer's Australian domestic or international flight.

Carry-on baggage

Carry-on allowances can be different depending on the route, cabin and whether you are flying with Qantas, Jetstar or one of our partner airlines. For information on what your customer can bring on board their Australian domestic or international flight, refer to Carry-on baggage.

Batteries and battery powered devices

To help us maintain a safe journey, refer to spare batteries and power banks to find out about new safety measures that have been introduced for Qantas flights, effective 15 December 2025.

To find out how battery powered devices and equipment should be packed in adherence to dangerous goods regulations, refer to battery powered devices for more information.
