Christmas cheer takes flight
Qantas' festive aircraft returns to the skies, with customers flying on the QantasLink Q400 'Dasher-8' (VH-84P) or the Qantas Boeing 737 'Roo-dolph' (VH-XZP) earning double Qantas Points throughout December.
Dasher-8 will spread Christmas cheer across regional Australia with its festive livery while Roo-dolph features a special Christmas themed inflight entertainment screen.
The festive cheer extends to Qantas Freight, with A321 'Santa's Freight' returning. Qantas Freight is preparing to deliver over 70,000 tonnes of packages and products across the domestic network in December, its busiest time of the year.
With online shopping surging ahead of Christmas, Qantas Freight has increased domestic capacity by more than 4,000 tonnes to help transport gifts destined for under the tree and festive favourites including prawns, mangoes and cherries.
New seasonal menus are rolling out across Qantas international First and Business cabins and premium Lounges designed to showcase Australia's finest summer produce with dishes featuring seafood to fresh tropical fruits and locally sourced ingredients.
Customers can also enjoy Qantas Creative Director of Food, Beverage and Service Neil Perry's celebrated Margaret dishes in First and his award-winning cheeseburger, now available in the Melbourne and Sydney First Lounges.
As Christmas approaches, Qantas will serve traditional Christmas dishes across selected domestic and international lounges and inflight. Customers can look forward to even more Christmas surprises when travelling, with airport activations and onboard surprises to be unveiled.
