The option to purchase carbon credits is available to Travel Agents in Australia when making bookings via the Qantas Distribution Platform. Please contact your Technology Partner to find out when the Voluntary Carbon Program will be available for your agency.

When your customer chooses to participate in the Voluntary Carbon Program through the Qantas Distribution Platform, the contributions will support carbon projects in Australia and around the world that meet our internal requirements for integrity and quality.

Qantas Frequent Flyer members can earn 10 Qantas Points for every dollar spent on carbon credits.

The Voluntary Carbon Program is a voluntary program and carbon credits are not transferable and non-refundable. The payment made for the purchase of carbon credits equivalent to a portion of the emissions will remain with the original flights when a customer chooses to change their itinerary. Qantas Frequent Flyer members will still earn points for the carbon credit purchased on their original itinerary even if that itinerary is cancelled or changed.
I have made a booking for multiple customers but only one customer would like to participate in the Voluntary Carbon Program. Is it possible for one customer only?

The Qantas Distribution Platform will automatically calculate the estimated cost for all customers in a single booking. If only one customer is choosing to participate in the Voluntary Carbon Program, Qantas recommends that the customer should be booked in a separate PNR.
My customer is no longer travelling and has requested their ticket to be refunded. Is the payment made to the Voluntary Carbon Program refundable?
