This major capacity increase will provide more flight options and lower airfares while further supporting the Top End's tourism economy.
The new capacity includes:
- Darwin to Adelaide: Up to 14 Qantas flights a week from April to May. Jetstar will also increase flights from four up to seven a week between July and October. It means during the peak July to October period, Qantas Group (Qantas and Jetstar) will operate three times daily between Darwin and Adelaide.
- Darwin to Brisbane: Up to 10 Qantas flights a week in May and up to 13 in June, including a new daily Boeing 737 service.
- Darwin to Sydney: Up to 12 Qantas flights a week from April to May, with double daily flights between June and October. These changes will see the Qantas Group operate three times daily between Darwin and Sydney in the peak July school holiday period.
- Darwin to Canberra: The return of Qantas' three-per-week seasonal service from July to September.
The capacity increase will see both Qantas and Jetstar scheduled to operate more than 2.3 million seats in and out of the NT this year as the airlines continue to explore options for future expansion.
Darwin-Singapore
The domestic capacity increase comes in addition to the launch of Qantas' new service between Darwin and Singapore on 30 March 2025, with more than 60,000 new seats providing travellers a gateway to Asia, Europe and beyond with one stop in the Lion City.
