Qantas Freight now operating from Western Sydney International Airport

Qantas Freight has launched services from Western Sydney International (Nancy Bird Walton) Airport (WSI), with the airline's new round-the-clock cargo terminal now open.

QF7340 was the first service to depart the terminal, leaving WSI for Brisbane. Qantas Freight estimated more than 160,000 parcels moved through the 24,000 square metre facility in the first 24 hours.

Domestic services will connect WSI with Melbourne, Cairns, Adelaide, Brisbane, Gold Coast, and Perth, with cargo continuing on connecting flights to regional centres. Qantas Freight expects weekly volumes through the terminal to exceed 850 tonnes. International flying from WSI is expected to start in early 2027.

The dedicated freighter fleet comprises of two A330s and six A321s, with three further A321 freighters to be added. Qantas Freight also holds priority cargo capacity on more than 300 aircraft across the Qantas passenger fleet, and its network reaches more than 110 destinations in Australia and around the world.
