New flights to Christmas Island and Cocos (Keeling) Islands
QantasLink has today announced it will commence flying to Christmas Island and Cocos (Keeling) Islands for the first time, with flights set to take off from 3 November 2025*.

As part of a five-year partnership with government that includes both passenger and dedicated freight services, the new flights will provide essential connections for the more than 2,500 residents across both territories, supporting local communities, government operations, tourism and freight.
Available for booking from Monday 18 August**, the new services will also make it easier for Australians to reach the remote islands through Qantas' extensive international and domestic network.
The services will operate twice weekly using Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft in full economy configuration.
Route information:
- Inaugural service will depart Perth on Monday 3 November 2025
- Services operate twice weekly (Mondays and Fridays) from Terminal 1 at Perth Airport*
- Flight time is approximately 5 hours Perth to Christmas and Cocos (Keeling) Islands
- Perth to Christmas Island/Cocos services operate as QF361 and QF363**
- Return services operate as QF362 and QF364

- Christmas Island is famous for its annual red crab migration, with millions of crabs making their way to the ocean each year
- The island is home to Christmas Island National Park, covering 63% of the island
- Christmas Island has some of the world's best bird watching, with unique endemic species
- The Cocos (Keeling) Islands consist of 27 coral islands forming two atolls
- The islands offer world-class diving, pristine beaches and unique Cocos Malay culture
- Both territories are Australian external territories located in the Indian Ocean northwest of Perth
