The next era of distribution has landed with Qantas’ New Distribution Capability (NDC), transforming the way you shop, book and serviced Qantas content.
From 1 July, our new indirect distribution model went live with several ways to access Qantas content. The new model reflects our ongoing investment to transform the retailing and servicing capabilities available to our agency partners and meet the evolving needs of our mutual customers.

Smoother servicing for an improved customer experience

Qantas NDC makes it easier than ever to support your customers, with faster and more efficient servicing. New automation helps reduce the risk of ADMs, including automated changes, refund calculations and processing, not available in EDIFACT.

We’ve also introduced exciting new support tools and features to make Qantas NDC servicing smoother, more transparent, and easier to access, including our new Live Assist chat feature.

Simplifying schedule changes and disruptions

Qantas NDC makes it easier for you to manage schedule changes by removing the manual ticketing steps required in EDIFACT. With new automation, including automated change and refund management, there is a reduced risk of ADMs, and you can provide faster and more accurate support, for a more seamless experience for your customers. Check with your technology partner to see if these features are switched on for your agency.

The Price Guarantee Ticketing Time Limit (PGTTL) secures your Qantas NDC booking prices, including taxes and surcharges, for up to 5 days to give your customers peace of mind. This capability provides you and our shared customers with the flexibility to finalise other travel details, like accommodation, without the risk of price changes.

Qantas NDC now supports a growing list of interline partners, giving you and your customers access to a wider choice of destinations and flight options when you shop and book Qantas NDC content.

Extended support hours throughout July

To provide greater support for you during the transition to Qantas NDC, Qantas Agency Connect will be offering extended support hours throughout the month of July. From 1–31 July, our team will be available daily from 7:00am to 7:00pm (AEST).

Outside of Qantas Agency Connect hours, our trained global Qantas teams are available 24/7 to support imminent travel within 72 hours of departure, ensuring your customers always reach their destination smoothly. For service requests, policy updates, and helpful resources, the Qantas Agency Connect website remains available 24/7.
